Lamborghini LP-570 Squadra Corse

The Lamborghini Squadra is Lamborghini's attempt at transforming their seemingly not cared for Gallardo into a lean, mean racing machine. On the appearance and aesthetics department, they succeeded. The Squadra looks absolutely stunning - it's aggressive front with the air vents, obviously to provide ventilation, are absolutely perfect and feel like they belong there, while the front spoiler helps to add downforce as well as aesthetical perfection. As we move to the back, the spoiler is high up, high enough to provide a significant amount of drag during corners and high-speed straights, as well as makes the car seem more detailed, and technical; much is the case as what Lamborghini was going for. On the specifications front, the Gallardo conveniently enough produces 570hp (not bhp, it has not been measured on a dynamo meter). All of this power is available at a surprisingly high RPM of 8,000. The top speed is not specified on the website, however their aims for this car were to make it as lightweight as possible, and help to create and emphasise Lamborghini's image as focusing away from the Luxury department, and focusing on barebone speed and agility in corners, rather than technical gubbins. This is much like Porsche, however recently they have been staring away from that particular brand image. Ferrari, obviously, focus alot on luxury. Finally, the Squadra actually uses the same engine in the Super Trofeo, their race car, which is a 570hp V10.
