Alfa Romeo 4C

The Alfa Romeo 4C is what Alfa Romeo are releasing as a legitimate mid-range sports car. It certainly has the appearance of a baby 8c - the shortened body length as well as the almost cute looking front with the lights make this car seem a bit, friendly, if you will. But when it gets to the specifications, the cute reputation lasts no longer. The car only weights 895kg, because it's made of carbon fibre (that's ridiculous for the price point) and because of this weight, it is able to put out 41.5mpg. This is very impressive for a car of this performance, question is what people will buy this car for. Be it a lap around a track during a track day or just going shopping to buy some things. Also due to it's lightweightness the 4C is able to reach 0-60 in 4.5 seconds - paired with the 41.5mph this car is looking to be quite successful. As I listed all the specs, it only seems necessary to give out the top speed - 160mph. All of these specs add up to make a car that is perceived to be very expensive; but it "only" costs £45,000. Considering this is almost a full on supercar, it's incredibly good value but can be looked on as pricey when you see the Porsche Cayman - but then again that's not an Alfa Romeo is it? To conclude the 4C has really outdone itself on the appearance side due to it's open lights (no protective cover, just carbon fibre surrounding it) and it really looks like a baby 8C - because it deserves to.
