Ferrari 458 Italia Challenge

Woot! Ferrari have just announced the crazy cool new Ferrari 459 Italia Challenge, one of my favourite cars of all time. And now, finally, it has made it's very first world debut. As you probably already guessed the "Challenge" section of the name suggests it is race car oriented. The Challenge will compete in it's own 458 Challenge dedicated series, using only thy Challenge cars. It has been said to have lapped Ferrari's test track in 1m 16.5s, slightly quicker than it's predecessor. To be just that little bit more precise, it went around 2 seconds faster than it's predecessor.  Ferrari hasn't yet explained exactly how much weight has gone, but lightweight materials - carbon fibre and something called Lexan -reduce the thickness of the body panels. And be assured: the noise from that raucous 4.5-litre V8 will reverberate rather gloriously. When you look on the outside of the Challenge, it does look very similar to the standard 458 apart from the bucket-load of sponsors. But still, the body panels are noticeably thinner than standard. It's currently on display to citizens in Bologna right now, and if you want to you can head down there right now,  morally because Ferrari will be displaying some other new models. More specifically: the F430 GTC racer owned by the AF Corse team, the FXX, 599XX and F60 2009 F1 car.
