Audi R8 GT
Yep, the R8 GT. My favourite car of all time. Yeah, my fave car ain't a Ferrari. To me, Ferrari's do have the purest spirit of all, but Ferrari don't seem to be making cars in the 700hp+ area, they're just staying low making no progressm but since Audi have jsut gotten to grips on how to make a super fast speeder, you can't rant on Audi. The whole point of the car and concept of it was to have more power and less weight, and it seems to execute that with brilliant precision as the 1525KG of weight from this car really shows. The R8 never was advocated on a route to where it should be lightened, but Audi seemed to recognize it. The GT boasts more downforce than a regular R8, despite achieving the same slippery 0.36Cd drag coefficient. The power output of the R8 it actually 552bhp, which potentially puts it as having the same engine unit as the Lamborghini Gallardo LP-560-4. It comes with carbon fibre brakepads as standard, which is also what the Ferrari 458 Italia comes specced with when bought standard. Audi seem to be becoming very competitive with their cars now, taking slow steps, albeit still making progress. It'll do 0-60 in a pretty impressive 3.6 seconds, and as always being a "GT" version the exterior comes equipped with joy of joys some addition mini-air scoops. Oh, and if you didn't come to figure and realize already, it's kerb weight is 100kg less than that of the standard Audi R8 V10.
